Freedom Machines Video

The video was very intersesting, because it showed you a different side of what go through and even how they use machines day to day. The machines in the video, people can't afford the machines, so that is why a lot of people don't have the machines. That is the worst thing about the machines in the video.

It is pitiful that we live in such a self-indulgent world that people with disabilities must go without assistive technology that can change their lives because they can't afford it. It makes me take a second look at my own life and struggles and reevaluate what I take for granted.

Yeah, I totally appreciate the cost factor involved. There IS money out there for some of this stuff, but it is almost always a struggle to get it. Nice start to your blog Antonio. Keep thinking about funding and ways to do things for free. Not all tech is high tech and not all high tech is expensive.

I agree Ant, it's horrible how the price of the adaptive technology for people with disabilities give thems a another disabilty, the inabilty to pay for that stuff.

I am also troubled by the fact that cost is more often a factor to whether someone gets the help they need. But I have to wonder too, how many parents don't even know that the technology is out there because their child's special educator knows that the cost is too much a factor, and doesn't even mention it.
